Company Background

Hartland Systems Limited was founded in 1983 by a team of highly experienced communications professionals. The original aim of the company was - and still is - to provide the most comprehensive communications service possible to the corporate user.

Hartland is not a manufacturer, but a completely independent networking solutions specialist capable of putting together cost-effective and efficient solutions using the best available technology to satisfy each individual requirement.

The company has grown steadily rather than spectacularly, always with the long-term view in mind. Our business ethic being to build lasting relationships with our clients, based upon mutual respect, rather than a desire to make quick profits.

A large percentage of our business comes from existing clients or via their recommendation, which bears testimony to the degree of importance we place on customer care.

This emphasis on stability is further enhanced by the fact that the senior management team has remained unchanged for over ten years and our customers know that they can call at any time to discuss future projects or communications issues no matter how large or small.

As the company has grown financially, the profits have been invested in employing additional personnel with various specialist skills, thus enabling us to widen the range of products and services that we can offer.

The composition of the company is heavily weighted towards supporting the client base, and to ensure the highest possible standards, great emphasis is placed upon continuous products and systems training.

In today's highly competitive business environment, companies are under intense pressure to provide employees, business partners and customers alike with the correct information and applications they need to make essential business decisions, regardless of their location, client platform or access method. Furthermore, they are expected to do this on an ever decreasing, or at best static, IT budget. Hartland's comprehensive range of three different application deployment strategies with proven ROI figures can help achieve this goal.

In addition, we have researched and evaluated a wide variety of complementary technologies in order to address three vital issues associated with deploying applications to a diversity of local and remote users, namely Management, Security and Performance. We finally chose to add to our portfolio some innovative, complementary, "best of breed" products which we feel best address these key issues and in doing so, enhance the Hartland "Total Solution" proposition.

A major factor in our success has been our vast experience in Local and Wide Area Networking. This has not only enabled us to select the best product mix, featuring key products from both areas, but also means we have a deep understanding of the issues involved in both disciplines. Using this combination of products and understanding, we can put together true "end to end" solutions that ensure our clients remain ahead of their competition.
